12th September 2010: Sunday Lunch Run from 12PM
The
North Leicester MG Club would like to invite you to a Sunday lunch run on
12th September. We are meeting at Rothley Station - Great Central
Railway (Link
& map to Rothley Station) from 12:00, with the aim of leaving around
12:30 (see also pps below). There are a couple of tea rooms at the station and
the trains should be in steam if you’d like to arrive
early.
The run
will take about 1 – 1 ½hrs to Market Bosworth, but food won’t be available until
2pm. Traditional Sunday lunch is on offer – Beef + one other meat (lamb or
pork). I believe other usual menu items will also be available too (I can
confirm if you are interested). It is a real ale pub and appears in the Good
Beer Guide (J).
If you
would like to attend (you may already have advised me during the last club
meeting, so don’t need to again), please respond to this email by Friday 10th September, together with your
contact details – I need to let the pub know numbers for catering
purposes. There is no charge for attending this run, though you will have to
pay for your meal.
If you
are not interested in having food at Market Bosworth, you are of course still
welcome to come along – do let me know this, so that I have an idea of numbers
meeting us at Rothley (& how many copies of the route to print out!).
Market
Bosworth has a lot to do and see, as well as the village there is also: the
battle field, lots of walks, canal, lakes, preserved train line and also an
antiques & tea room near by.
